Fluffy Favourites was pure habit. I opened it, had a short go, then drifted into the Megaways strip and lost track of time. The lobby is large, past a thousand games. Table games are not why I am here. A crowded slot grid, plus Starburst when I want something quiet, is enough for a Tuesday night.

Ten pounds via PayPal, in the account before I had put the phone down. The return trip took two working days. Not same-day, and I knew that going in.

The Croydon commute is long enough for a few Slingo rounds, so I play in the phone browser. I can play without installing anything, and I prefer it that way. I do not want another icon on the home screen. Safari opens the lobby, the balance and the scratch cards without a download. Last Thursday I moved between a Gaming Realms Slingo and Wolf Gold, then shut the tab at East Croydon. At home the tablet shows the same pages, only larger. Scratch cards are my five-minute game when the train is packed and a slot feels like too much. The cashier was the easy bit: Visa Debit in, balance updated, back to the grid. I have sat through mobile casinos that bury the games behind a store page. This one does not.

Paysafecard for the first tenner, because I had one in the drawer. Deposit only, which I expected. After that I switched to Mastercard Debit and left it there.

Spin Frenzy is the offer I actually use. You can pick up as many as fifty spins, and that is plenty for a lunch break. The rest of the promotions page is sparse. Messages arrive by email, but I have to read them twice before I opt in. I never found a points club in my account, so I am not collecting stamps. The Pragmatic Drops and Wins strip is the other thing I bother with.

I keep two routes on the cashier and choose by the clock. When I want the money back sooner I use Skrill, and it has landed inside three working days. Trustly has been much the same, inside four. The debit card is the patient option. I have waited close to a week, still inside the window they give, and I only pick it when I am moving money from the bank rather than cashing out. Ten pounds is the floor either way, and I have not been charged to deposit. MuchBetter is there if Skrill argues with my bank. The monthly ceiling of £7,000 is a figure I will not reach. I tried AstroPay once, out of curiosity, and it behaved like the other wallets.

Practice mode on Big Bass Bonanza came first, before I staked a penny. You need to be signed in for that, and nothing in the round is real money, which is the point. Afterwards I moved a small balance onto Blinged. The Play'n GO feature felt kinder on a quiet Sunday than Narcos had. I do not sit and study the return figures. I stay if the bonus turns up before I get bored. It did. I logged out and left the win sitting there until Monday.

I stopped looking beyond the browser. The browser is fine on the bus. Two older slots still will not launch on the phone, so those wait for the laptop.

Saturday I meant to stop after one scratch card and did not. Those cards are a nice change when the reels blur, and there is a decent pile of them beside the slots. I also put ten pence on a match, the smallest stake the slip would take, then went straight back to War of Gods. Red Tiger suits me more than the classic tables. The tables are there, they are just not why I joined. On the laptop the lobby stretches wider. A modest win went back to my bank during the week. Friends who only want a live dealer would be bored here. For slots, Slingo and the odd scratch card, this is the one I open.
